History of Thomco Services, LLC | ||||
Dwayne A. Thomas began learning the business of construction and trucking on the lap of his dad and brothers, Fred, Doug, and the late Major Jr. and Andrew Thomas. They were instrumental in his sense of hard work, dedication, patience, and resilience. After working under their tutorage for many years, he established Jonathan’s Trucking Company in honor of the birth of his own son, Jonathan Micaiah Thomas. With hard work and a commitment to customer satisfaction and personalized services, the company prospered. He acquired subcontracts with APAC Asphalt of Florence, SC and Cleveland Construction of Bluffton, SC hauling asphalt, sand, gravel, and other aggregates. He also subcontracted with Balfour Beatty to build the 170 Corridor from Beaufort to Hilton Head. In 2003, Dwayne relocated the business and his family to Belton, SC and began serving the Upstate with the same commitment to values. In 2016, Jonathan became a valued partner, bringing with him fresh ideas and a new vision of expansion. He became the lead mechanic and brought along his experience as a SC licensed Heavy Equipment Operator. The business was incorporated under Thomco Services LLC. Two additional tri-axle dump trucks and light grading equipment were purchased, and two more employees were hired. The SC DBE certification was acquired and now service state and county government projects as well as private and industrial projects. |
